My First Tropic Year

I have to admit, a year ago I did not think I would be blogging about my favourite beauty products! Ask any of my friends and they will probably tell you, I was rather lazy when it came to my beauty regime. Water and face wipes were fine with a bit of Nivea Cream slapped on before bed for good measure.

Here I am, a year to the day after joining as a Tropic Skincare Ambassador and I have to say, what a difference! Even my husband has noticed the improvements in my skin (and for someone who didn't notice I had four inches off my hair last year, this is a result!)

The first change I noticed on the morning after my first try of the ABC set (cleanse, tone and moisturise) was just how soft and hydrated my skin was.

Within just couple of weeks came the best bit, the disappearance of the Milia spots which I have had on my temples and occasionally cheekbones for as long as I can remember.

Since starting my Tropic journey I have become more and more interested and aware that what we are putting on our skin for "protection", "youthful complexion", "instant radiance", "combating fine lines", is actually all incredibly toxic to both us and, in many cases, our environment.

It comes as no surprise then when I looked into what causes this Milia... See the screen shot below from Healthline.com "liquid paraffin" or "liquid petroleum"...

Now lets look at the ingredients of the moisturiser that I had been using for years, because I thought it was gentle and pure compared with some of the other fussy and fancy brands you can buy....

Ingredients from Nivea website

Well, there we have it. The cream that I thought was pure and natural was in fact rammed with nasties like PETROLATUM and PARAFFIN and according to Healthline.com could have been responsible for my Milia breakouts.

This is just one example of the many products and their alternatives that I will be sharing with you over coming months.

Over the last 12 months, I have picked up new clients, many of whom are that have seen for themselves the improvement in my skin.

I have made new friends through Tropic and had brilliant and unwavering support from the very kind and patient Clare Emerton and now I am ready to grow my own little team of Tropic Ambassadors.

Read my next blog to find out what I have planned for the next 12 months of my Tropic Skincare journey...
